A glossy powder glaze in a range of 15 basic colours that can be further mixed with each other. The firing temperature varies according to the shade and is shown in the photo of the shade when clicked. You will also find it on every package.
Basic supplies: dust respirator, glaze, mixing container, sealable container, drinking water, sieve, cooker, rubber squeegee
Glaze to water ratio: There is no universal ratio. It is governed by the type of application (dipping, pouring, spraying) and the characteristics of the shard (wall thickness, different absorption, etc.) A thicker and more absorbent shard generally requires a thinner glaze. Mix the glaze thicker at first and thin if necessary. A basic guideline ratio can be 1:1.2 water:glaze. We can also do a test if the glaze sticks to the finger and at the same time the wrinkles show through, the density is correct. We also recommend testing the appropriate glaze dilution and layer thickness on several samples.
Procedure: pour the glaze into a mixing bowl, pour in the water slowly and stir thoroughly to avoid lumps. Test the thickness of the glaze, thin with water if necessary. Place a sieve over a sealable container and pour the glaze into the container, using a cooking pot and spatula to strain through the sieve. Thoroughly seal and describe the container - marking, colour, firing temperature, ratio with water if necessary, date, etc. Stir well before each use. Observe firing temperatures (1020-1160°C). The surface of the shard must be clean, dust-free and not greasy. If fired below the prescribed limit, the glaze will not set and will not be fully opaque. If this limit is exceeded, the glaze may run off or seep into the shard.
Firing: 1020-1160°C
Note: Wear a respirator when working with glazes, do not eat or drink!
