Finishing Damar varnish Umton – various sizes

Damar varnish Umton is a mixture of turpentine and damar resin (1:3 ratio), it is mainly used as a final varnish to protect the painting after it is finished, but it can also be used to prepare the substrate before painting. Creates an almost non-yellowing waterproof layer. Damar varnish dries faster than mastix ferm and does not stick.

It is applied to the work, which is in a horizontal position, with a brush, marker or other spray. The paint must be completely dry before painting. After application, it dries for up to 3 days. Removal of the paint can easily be done with rectified turpentine oil, the paint layer remains intact.

It can also be used to add to oil paints to give them a glossy enamel character and smooth finish.
