Lascaux 2001 Hydro-Ground 1lThe deep primer is used for impregnation of various substrates from weakly absorbent concrete to highly absorbent sandstone plaster. The impregnation can also be used to strengthen very absorbent substrates. In restoration it is used to consolidate layers of colour, especially in oil painting.
It is applied diluted with water in an approximate ratio of 1:4. The dilution ratio depends on the absorbency of the substrate so that the product can penetrate the substrate and does not form a closed film on the surface. When consolidating paintings, dilute in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:4.
