Restoration
Paint remover Schmincke 200ml - 50060Suitable for dilution and removal of varnishes and other media. It is more effective than turpentine or conventional substitutes. Apply with a soft cloth or sponge, spread on the surface of the painting in circular motions and leave for a few minutes. Then remove from the surface together with the varnish.
Always test thoroughly for each painting separately before use - especially with older paintings, several techniques are often combined and some colours are washed out by this product as well - gouache, tempera, etc. It is intended primarily for oil paintings, where it does not destroy the paint as such (unless left on the surface for too long).
It is not suitable for paintings with a larger structure (impasto, etc.).
