Charbonnel polish red 1l

Red polyment paste Charbonnel of very finely ground bolus in an adhesive solution. The polymer forms the final layer for gold leaf gilding to a high shine. The flexible backing has unusually good properties for polishing gold. It lends gold its characteristic glow and emphasizes its deep luster. Suitable for indoor use only.

It is applied to the chalk base using a brush made of very fine hair in several thin layers. Once the surface is completely dry, it is smoothed with a coarse cloth to smooth out any imperfections in the substrate. The mixture is ready for use; it is heated in a water bath before application. It's diluted with water.

Before laying the gold, the substrate needs to be moistened with alcohol.

Store at room temperature. Close after use.
