Gilding
Bolus red - base for gilding 110mlModelling clay suitable as a base for gilding slices (real or not).
Recommended use: heat the bolus in a water bath, make a mixture of 300 g bolus to 1 l water and add 100 g glue. When the mixture is warm and slightly runny, start applying it carefully with a fine-bristled brush. We recommend applying three coats. However, if the consistency suits you, you can use it alone.
