Bolus in paste Manetti 0.8kg – yellow

Yellow polyment paste Manetti made from very finely ground bolus. The polymer forms the final layer for gold leaf gilding to a high shine. Yellow polymer is used for matt gold plating, which is not polished. Matte gold plating tends to be in the recesses of decorations and ornaments, where the laying of gold is difficult and therefore they are underlaid with yellow polyment paste (gold-like shade). They are usually both types of polyment paste applied to one object to combine glossy and matt gilded surfaces; first yellow and then red on the highlights. For interior use only on absorbent, porous materials. As a rule, it is applied on a chalk substrate, it must always be clean and smooth.

Painting should be done very carefully; care should be taken to ensure that it does not run. In the case of matt gilding, a second layer is applied. For optimum consistency, we recommend diluting 1:1 with a solution of water and rabbit glue (90% water and 10% glue). Apply with a brush. Lay the slices until the bolus is completely dry. The bolus dries after about 2 hours.

Yield at normal area 10-12m2 / kg.

Store at room temperature. Close after use.
