Cyanotype set

Kit with premixed chemistry for cyanotyping. (also called blueprint, iron printing). Quick guide: the Jacquard cyanotype kit allows you to print cyanotypes to your own specifications. The chemistry is pre-measured in light-resistant black bottles. Simply fill each bottle with water to make solutions A and B, and mix them in equal proportions to create a cyanotype sensitizer. Coat fabric or paper with sensitizer and after drying, make prints by exposing to sunlight or UV light (3-15 minutes, depending on conditions), using stencils, objects or negative film. After exposure, the prints are set on a tray of cold water and allowed to air dry for about 24 hours; the prints oxidize to a final dark blue colour. To oxidize the print immediately to the final color, immerse it in a dilute hydrogen peroxide bath after washing, then rinse and dry.
